Holiday cheer is upon us! Ms. Essian and her students did an amazing job performing at our annual Holiday Sing-Along! The auditorium was filled with joy, laughter, and parents! Our students were so excited to perform to their peers and parents. Students did so well...

Students in first grade became surgeons for a day.  Students took two words, cut them, then stuck them together with band-aids (apostrophes), in order to make contractions. Students were engaged and will never forget this hands-on experience!

Parents and students worked together on close and critical reading strategies. Parent workshops continue to strengthen the partnership between school and home.

Ms. Essain's choir ( made up of third through fifth graders)spent time singing to  Oakwood Commons Retirement Community. Yesterday, they also sang the national anthem at the Fordson vs. Dearborn High basketball game.  It has been a busy week for these young singers....
