In the classroom/school: Parents can
- Visit a classroom to volunteer at least once a month
- Attend Parent workshops to promote literacy
- Attend Parent Talk workshops on Tuesdays
- Pledge to Read with your child every night for at least 20-30 minutes
At Home:
- Students read all books in reading bag daily and complete logs
- Parents can ask comprehension questions using reading bag books
- Utilize materials to help reading fluency in reading bags
- Visit library regularly
- Utilize online resources of school promoted web sites- minutes need to meet our requirements
- Use open-ended developmentally appropriate questions
