After a lesson in Writer’s workshop students gathered together to sort objects between initial letters “B” and “N”. Students then began to identify whether a word sound was blended or segmented. Great job kindergartners!
Students came together to give thanks by sharing lunch provided by parents. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered their time and generosity!
Congratulations to Ms. Mariam Berry’s class for winning the Can for Cause class competition. Ms. Berry’s class was visited by Yogurtopia’s mascot, Miley. Each student in Ms. Berry’s class received a $ 5.oo gift card to Yogurtopia. All food items collected were donated to our local Gleaners Food Bank to help feed those in need…
Second graders had the opportunity to show their parents how to incorporate close and critical reading strategies at home. Second grade teachers presented and second graders and parents did the rest. Students feel empowered when parents show high interest in what they are doing in the classroom. Way to go parents!

Thank you to the PTA members who volunteered to sell bagels and juice to students. Students were very happy with their warm, toasted, cream cheese bagels! Lots of love goes into those bagel sales.
