Students in the fourth grade learn about decimal place value.

Students in Ms. Hancock’s class plan their activities and then set up and clean-up after. Way to go preschoolers! Everyday is a step closer to independence!

Every classroom at Becker works on enhancing our close and critical reading strategies. Our fourth graders showcased exactly how to do it in these few steps: First read: students read and annotate Students talk with a partner on their reading Second read: teacher reads, students listen Think, write, talk Third read: students reread to find answers…

Fifth graders collaborate and sort out terms based on positive, neutral, or negatively charged words.  Through this lesson students focused on how to improve upon their writing by adding detailed words. Students then presented to the whole class.

What a great parent turn out! Students and parents were engaged and having fun while learning! Thank you to all the parents who came out and supported their child’s education!

Today fourth and fifth graders were recognized for being on honor roll or high achievement for the first card marking.  Congratulations to all students and parents!
