Ms. Berry’s students have been learning about unit conversions through integrated math and science. All students received their own pumpkin and used a scale to weigh and convert the weight into different units of measurement. This hands on learning approach helps students truly understand the differences between pounds, kilograms, ounces, mass, and weight. Photos of this experiment are below.
