Dear Parents,
This year in music class we will be learning the basics of playing the recorder. When in 5th grade, students will have the opportunity to take band or orchestra and we want to provide our 3rd & 4th graders with an Instrumental experience that will help prepare students for a successful experience in band or violin class.
By purchasing a recorder each student will have their own recorder enabling them to be able to practice at home. This will also help teach students the responsibility of caring for an instrument as well as for hygiene and management issues. Do NOT make a purchase of a recorder from a different location since the recorders will not match in pitch and fingering style.
A one-time cost of $6 will cover the purchase of the recorder, a sturdy zippered case and a neck strap. Recorder Method sheet music and digital music learning links will be provided by Mrs. Head and Mrs. Reed. Please send in the exact amount of cash (since we will not be able to provide change) along with the bottom portion of this order form, in an envelope, to your child’s music teacher. Once the money is collected from all students we will be able to order the reorders. All orders are due by March 30, 2022.
