5th Grade Promotion 2019-20 School Year

Dear Becker Community,

I would like to extend a sincere congratulations to our 5th grade students at Becker Elementary School. They have worked extremely hard this year and will now be transitioning into middle school in the coming fall. We are so very proud of our students and want to thank our parents for their continued partnership and support.

This year, two 5th grade students were recognized for the Outstanding Achievement Award. Congratulations to Hussein A. and Yara A. This award is given to students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement, scholarship and leadership throughout the entire year. They both received trophies and will have their names displayed on our school plaque for years to come.

In addition, three students were recognized at the district level for ranking at the highest level for the Art Reflections competition. Art reflection winners are: Jenna K. Finally, Honor Roll winners were recognized with certificates, honor roll tags, bumper stickers, and pencils for their outstanding achievement and ongoing high academic efforts. The following students were recognized for Honor Roll: Yara A., Ali E., Ali E., Suendous A., Omar E., Baqer F., Chaza M., Maria A., Tala A., Hussien A., Nada A., Adam B.and Ali B.

I would like to also extend a warm thank you to our amazing PTA for helping to purchase personalized lawn signs for each and every 5th grade student. The PTA, 5th grade teachers, and our ELD specialist took several hours last Tuesday evening to hand deliver a sign to every 5th grade students’ home. This personal touch put such a bright smile on everyone’s face. Thank you for all you continue to do to support our students.
